A Family-Friendly Favorite in Pattaya Gets an Upgrade

An easy drive from Bangkok, Amari Pattaya is a laid-back retreat by the sea.

Feb 19, 2020

LOCATED A 90-MINUTE DRIVE from downtown Bangkok, Pattaya is one of Thailand’s most easily accessible beach getaways. While in the past, this seaside enclave was best-known for its hedonistic nightlife, today the town draws all sorts of travelers with its family-friendly attractions. Whether you’re looking for a romantic weekend away with your significant other, a fun escape with the kids, or a quick break on a business trip, the Amari Pattaya is fresh from an extensive rejuvenation and the perfect place to stay.

Located in the northern end of Pattaya Bay, the resort features 297 stylishly refurbished rooms and suites. Accommodations in the upgraded Amari Tower are especially spacious and start at a generous 49 square meters. These tasteful abodes feature oversized baths with separate showers, balconies, and panels with subtle orchid motifs and local textile accents. Guests at the Executive Club Lounge can also indulge in an exclusive breakfast buffet, as well as evening cocktails and canapes. Meanwhile, the 49 two- and three-bedroom Amari Suites offer plenty of space for larger family gatherings.

Guests at the resort can dine on Thai and Western classics at the Amaya Food Gallery, which features open-air cooking stations inspired by those found in local markets. Travelers can also stay in shape at the 24-hour fitness studio or unwind with a soothing massage at Breeze Spa. Best of all is the newly unveiled freeform pool with a treehouse-themed waterslide surrounded by a lush tropical garden at the heart of the resort.

Tiny travelers will find plenty to enjoy here, from the special kid-friendly treatment room at Breeze Spa to a gumball machine at the front desk. From hours of activities at the Treehouse Kids’ Club to a special area at breakfast just for kids, there are all sorts of reasons for families with little ones to return again and again.
