Bangkok Hotels Are Turning Rooms Into Office Spaces

This might be your solution to getting work done without distractions from your children...or the fridge.

Apr 14, 2020

As we all try to acclimate to a work-from-home lifestyle, some of us are finding productivity nearly impossible. Nagging children? An irresistibly comfortable bed? A fully stocked and oh-so-enticing fridge? Or, maybe, it’s just the overall lack of stimulation that is stippling your creativity.

Accor hotel group is renting out rooms in 10 of their Bangkok hotels for those in the need of office space. Available for up to eight hours, between 8 am and 8 pm, the packages include a quiet room with a full business desk, speedy internet, and a lunch box.

To comply with social distancing measures, the deal is available for one person per room. Rates starting from Bt 690 at selected ibis Styles hotels. For a more premium experience, you can book at selected Novotel hotels for Bt 890 or the Bt 1,190 at selected MGallery, Pullman and Grand Mercure hotels.

Accor also announced last week that they have started a fund to support the group’s 300,000 employees by pledging to pay for COVID-19-related hospital expenses for those who do not have social security or insurance. It even extends to industry partners facing financial difficulty as well as healthcare professionals.
