How to Walk on the Wild Side in Singapore

Experience the Singapore Zoo when you stay at the Sofitel Singapore City Centre.

Mar 3, 2021

IF YOU AND YOUR LITTLE ONES ARE DREAMING OF trekking through the biodiverse jungles of Borneo or embarking on a safari along the plains of the Serengeti, it’s possible to capture some of that wilderness without ever leaving the Lion City. With long-distance, international travel plans largely on hold due to the current situation with the pandemic, more Singaporeans are indulging in staycations.

Sofitel Singapore City Centre recently debuted a thrilling new staycation package called Stay on the Wild Side which is perfect for wanderlust-struck families. With this two-day, one-night package, two adults and one child can experience the magic of a tropical rainforest, all while staying in a plush safari-themed room complete with a teepee tent. The package is a collaboration with Wildlife Reserves Singapore and a part of the Singapore Tourism Board’s SingapoRediscovers campaign that includes afternoon tea and tea-time snacks, breakfast, and late checkout.

Most important of all, guests will receive three admission tickets to the Singapore Zoo, along with a complimentary fun pack with exclusive merchandise and dining options. In the orangutan area, children can meet adorable orangutans like baby Binton and the mischievous Veera, all while learning about conservation efforts to save these critically endangered primates. In Fragile Forest, a 20,000 sqm biodome, families can enjoy the experience of stepping into a tropical rainforest, complete with dozens of species coexisting in a self-contained ecosystem. Finally, kids will flip for the Splash Safari Show, where the zoo’s resident sea lion performs tricks, and Animal Friends Show, featuring cuddly cats and canines.

While exploring the zoo, there are plenty of delicious dining options that kids will love. Chow down on traditional favorites like laksa and nasi lemak at Ah Meng Kitchen, enjoy a classic breakfast of toast and eggs at Inuka Café, grab two scoops of ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s, and more.

This limited-time offer is valid for bookings through March 31, 2021 for stays through June 30, 2021. Don’t miss your chance to connect with your family’s wild side.
