Norwegian Prima is the first of six ships in the recently announced Prima Class, which set record-breaking sales during her debut week. Pop superstar Katy Perry has been announced as the ship’s godmother and will perform at the christening ceremony in Reykjavík, Iceland on August 27, 2022. As the first major cruise ship ever christened in the Icelandic capital, Norwegian Prima will be off to a thrilling start.
Passengers on this stunning vessel can explore the Indulge Food Hall, with 11 casual dining options and real food trucks inspired by outdoor markets of the world. There’s also the innovative Metropolitan Bar pouring zero-waste cocktails from a fully sustainable spirits menu along with biodynamic wines. Meanwhile upscale dining options include Palomar, which focuses on Mediterranean seafood, and stands alongside classics like Nama sushi, Onda by Scarpetta, Los Lobos Cantina, Cagneys Steakhouse, and Le Bistro.
The luxe entertainment options on this incredible ship are truly next-level, from Casinos At Sea, which brings all the thrills of Las Vegas to the open ocean, to the Prima Speedway, a three-level racetrack unlike any other. Daredevils can zoom down a 10-story-tall slide, while those inclined towards a more relaxed affair can sip champagne to chilled-out beats at the adults-only Vibe Beach Club. Soak up the endless ocean vistas at the water-level infinity pool, or let the little ones take part in all sorts of kids’ activities at Aqua Park.
Banish any thought of cramped cabins here. All passengers on Norwegian Cruise Line travel in style, but for those looking for truly superlative accommodations, The Haven – NCL’s ‘ship-within-a-ship’ concept offers an unmatched level of opulence. Situated at the aft of the ship, these well-appointed, spacious accommodations come with 24-hour butler service, not to mention a private lounge, restaurant, and sundeck.
To add to the excitement, Prima Class ships will feature the highest staffing levels and space ratio of any new cruise ship, as well as a host of thrilling experiences. Norwegian Prima’s sister ship, Norwegian Viva, is set to sail a glam route around the Mediterranean from 2023, offering voyages from Rome, Venice, Lisbon and Athens. From the jaw-dropping fjords of Norway to the picturesque coastlines of Greece and Italy, there’s so much to discover with Norwegian Cruise Line.
