The Danna Langkawi

Dec 4, 2013

Situated on Telaga Harbour, close (but not too close) to the island’s international airport, The Danna Langkawi is an intimate oasis with just eight individually designed suites. Despite its decidedly tropical location, the resort has a curiously Old World grandeur more akin to Nice than the rest of Malaysia. The harbor itself, particularly Perdana Quay in the north, exudes an easygoing, Mediterranean charm. The same sunny shores clearly inspired the cuisine at Planter’s Restaurant, while the resort’s other dining venue, The Straits & Co. serves up British-Malay fare. While The Danna is definitely designed with romantic rendez-vous in mind, children will find plenty to do at the Kids’ Club or three-tiered infinity swimming pool.
