ONE THING THE MOVIE Crazy Rich Asians got right: when it comes to travel in Asia-Pacific, one of the fastest-growing demographics is the ultra-wealthy. According to the 2020 edition of the Wealth X World Ultra Wealth Report, Asia saw a 10 percent rise in the number of ultra-high net worth (UHNW) individuals. This growing segment of the international (private) jet set has been booking steadily more trips since 2015, with the rise of bookings by the UHNW customers rising a whopping 470 percent from 2018 to 2019.

Of course, when moguls and millionaires take to the skies, they want the experience to be exceptional and, whenever possible, exclusive. If you’d rather wear couture than be caught in a dress off the rack it stands to reason you’d prefer a private recital with Andrea Bocelli to a standard tour of the Colosseum. Enter Scott Dunn Private, the newly launched, invitation-only, fee-free membership club from the bespoke travel concierge of the same name where the one-percenters can secure the kinds of trips that will make even their most elite friends envious.

“Looking after the discerning needs of our Scott Dunn Private guests is a top priority and we understand that our guests have different and unique motivations for their travel needs,” says Sheena Seah, a veteran globetrotter with experience in more than 60 countries who leads the organization’s Asia team. “The beauty of Scott Dunn Private is having a Personal Travel Advisor who can handle your whole travel calendar for you, providing truly tailored and comprehensive travel experiences that aim to intrigue and excite based on your preferences.”

Where Scott Dunn Private really shines is opulent touches – like a fleet of supercars. After all, who wouldn’t want to traverse the rolling vineyards of Tuscany in an Aston Martin DB11, Ferrari 388 GTB Spider, Lamborghini Aventador S, or a Mercedes AMB GT?

As if that weren’t already thrilling enough for an Italian adventure, gastronauts can spend a morning enjoying a master cooking class at the iconic Michelin-starred AlpiNN, perched atop of Kronplatz in Italy: A private helicopter whisks you up to the glass-walled restaurant. After a session in the kitchen, go on, enjoy some leisurely skiing in the surrounding winter wonderland before returning for lunch.

“A big part of being a Scott Dunn Private member is the unparalleled access it brings,” Seah says. “Whether it’s going behind the scenes at the French Open, entering the Sistine Chapel for a discreet private visit or experiencing the wonder of a Michelin-starred chef’s kitchen during full service, access to our little black book of contacts as a member unlocks the right doors to make these things happen.”

While high-flyers tend to have few qualms about dashing off to Europe for a weekend jaunt, there are also plenty of superlative experiences closer to home. For instance, Scott Dunn Private is one of the few companies that can broker a meeting with one of Kyoto’s elusive geishas. Participants can savor a sumptuous private kaiseki dinner while enjoying an evening of entertainment courtesy of two geishas clad in richly textured kimonos.

Up in St. Petersburg, members have the rare opportunity for an inside look at the fabled Russian Ballet. Participants get a private, behind-the-scenes tour of everything from the Tsars’ box to the props workshop at the legendary Mariinsky Theatre. To make matters even more brag-worthy, Scott Dunn Private can even arrange a one-on-one tea with a prima ballerina or a lead opera singer. Simply put, there’s something to wow even the most seen-it-all luxury traveler.
